Yuri Jang was born in South Korea. She studied traditional 2D animation and graduated with a BFA from Kyoto-Seika University in Japan. She graduated from Animation MFA at University of Southern California with a film, “Thread,” that examines the plight of comfort women in Korea (women who were forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese army during WW II.)
Yuri is currently working in School of Film and Television at Loyola Marymount University as an adjunct Professor. She enjoys creating illustrations that provide a glimpse into the character’s personal story. Yuri is available for work as a storyboard artist, concept artist, or animator.
